I had to push down in the front and lift up on the rear to get it on (as in my rear was lower than the front. I worked on the rails with stones and it took a while but now it's pretty smooth. And the gap between the slide and frame looks pretty even front to back.

You can see in the pics, the plug & frame are rounded in the rear. PF940SC is flat on the back. 19 & Pf940C models are both rounded. Those are definitely interchangeable
